lululab (CEO Choe Yong-joon) will expand its business to the Middle East market.
lululab announced on the 17th that "Artificial Intelligence (AI) K Beauty Store" launched it at Sharaf DG Dubai Times Square,
the largest electronic product distribution store in the Middle East, earlier this month.
Visitors can analyze their skin and purchase recommended K-beauty products through Lumini at the Lulu Lab K-beauty store named "Your Beauty Store."
Lumini, developed by lululab, is a skin care solution that scans and analyzes the entire face skin once and finds and recommends optimal cosmetics suitable for the user's skin condition.
lululab is a member of the Born-to-Global Center and a startup from Samsung Electronics' in-house venture C Lab.
Sharaf DG is the largest electronic product distribution channel in the Middle East and has stores in various places in the Middle East.
It is an affiliate of Sharaf Group, which operates real estate, architecture, finance, distribution, and tourism in the Middle East and Africa.
The average monthly number of visitors per store exceeds 1 million.
As lululab completes its launch in early October, it expects to achieve high sales ahead of the peak season from November to December.
lululab has confirmed its participation in 13 domestic cosmetics brands as well as launching AIK Beauty Store exclusively through a beauty business partnership with Sharaf DG.
Participating brands are sold at Sharaf DG online and offline stores. lululab is currently recruiting additional cosmetics brands.
Wherever the lululab AI skin analysis solution is installed, it can be a channel for cosmetics brands to enter, said Choe Yong-joon, CEO of lululab.
"As we successfully pioneered online and offline export markets for K-beauty, we will help cosmetics brands expand new channels not only in the Middle East but also around the world."
