The Born-to-Global Center, which supports promising technology companies' global expansion,
announced on the 26th that artificial intelligence (AI) beauty startup lululab (CEO Choe Yong-joon) won the 7th Software Industry Protection Awards, Minister of Science and ICT.
The awards ceremony was held at the International Conference Room of the Korea Press Center in Seoul on the 19th.
The Software Industry Protection Awards are designed to advance the intelligent information society by rewarding institutions, companies, and individuals
who have taken the lead in protecting the software industry.
It was hosted by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and organized
by the Korea Copyright Protection Agency and the Korea Software Copyright Association.
lululab was honored with the award in recognition of its efforts to revitalize the software industry,
such as promoting the genuine software use environment through systematic software asset management and encouraging the need to use genuine products from outside.
lululab has been providing training for all employees in the field of information protection and software to enhance software copyright awareness.
Choe Yong-joon, CEO of lululab, said, "We are emphasizing the importance of using genuine software through education as well as consistently notifying
and encouraging employees of software use and copyright," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in strengthening awareness of software copyright."
lululab is a member of the Born-to-Global Center and a company from Samsung Electronics' in-house venture C-Lab,
and has developed LUMINI, a customized skincare solution based on artificial intelligence technology. Recently,
lululab has been focusing on expanding its business by not only winning the CES Innovation Award for the second consecutive year
but also opening an artificial intelligence beauty store at Lotte Department Store's ABNEWL.
